Stay home, we’ll come to you
Sometimes the easiest place to get help is the place you’re already feeding your baby. An IBCLC comes to your door with everything she needs, so you can skip the car seat, the traffic, and the waiting room and just focus on you and your baby.
Hands-on latch support, in a family’s living room
All the expertise of an office visit, in your own space, on your own couch.
No packing up
No car seat, no diaper bag logistics, no Houston traffic. We meet you where you and your baby are most comfortable.
Real, hands-on care
Your IBCLC brings an infant scale and her tools, so you get a full assessment and weighted feed, same as in the office.
Your real life, solved
We troubleshoot in your actual setup (your chair, your pillows, your bed) so the plan we make actually fits your days.

What to expect
It’s a full visit, just on your couch
A home visit is the same thorough, unhurried appointment you’d get in the office. We’ll review your history, examine you and your baby, watch a full feeding, weigh your baby before and after, and build a care plan together, all without you leaving the house.
- The same 30–90 minutes of face-to-face time, all yours
- A real feeding observation and weighted feed in your own setup
- A written care plan before we go, and we’re a message away after
A weighted feed, right at home

What we bring · how to prepare
We bring everything, you bring nothing
There’s nothing to set up and nothing to clean for. Truly. Your IBCLC arrives with a sensitive infant scale and the tools she needs. All we ask is a comfortable spot to sit and the things you already use to feed your baby within reach.
- We bring the infant scale and assessment tools
- Have handy: your pump, bottles, or nursing pillow if you use them
- If you use powdered formula, have a little water ready, and that’s it
Big siblings welcome. This is home

Who home visits are for
Made for real, full houses
Home visits are wonderful for everyone, but they’re especially helpful in the early weeks, or any time leaving the house feels like a lot. There’s no pressure to keep older siblings quiet in a waiting room, and we can work on positions that only make sense at home.
- If you’re not cleared to drive yet or still recovering from birth
- If you have twins, multiples, or older siblings at home
- To practice side-lying and laid-back nursing in your own bed

Good to know · trip fee
The $70 trip fee covers your IBCLC’s travel time. It is an out-of-pocket charge that insurance does not cover, and it is paid by you directly, separate from the visit. The visit itself is billed like any other appointment; many of the plans we accept cover it, though some apply a deductible, copay, or coinsurance. Have your coverage checked and we’ll walk you through what to expect.
One quick form before we visit
Because we’re coming into your home, we ask every family to review and sign our short home-visit safety acknowledgment ahead of time.
Ready when you are
Let’s come to you
Home visits can’t be booked online, so send us a request or give us a call and we’ll match you with an IBCLC who can come to your home, or meet you in an office or virtually, whatever’s easiest.
Outside our home-visit area? Telehealth visits reach families anywhere.
